It connects to supported printers via a USB port, in turn allowing you to connect a 10Base-T or 100Base-T network connection to the 175x print server. Additionally, the 175x has an embedded web-server which allows remote management via a web browser. Setup is a snap, thanks to HP's Install Network Printer Wizard; and system administrators can use HP's Web Jetadmin to directly install, configure, and manage the print server. A wide range of networking protocols are supported, including peer-to-peer and client/server under TCP/IP, peer-to-peer under IPX/SPX, Apple EtherTalk, and LPD printing. With the 175x, only the computer originating the print job needs to be turned on, so you can print from anywhere at anytime.
