I have 3 Brother printers, different vintages, that I've converted to Bulk Ink. All 3 work fantastic on the bulk ink, never clogging, seldom needing the heads cleaned. On these 3 machines, I print everything from bulletins to photographs 4x6 up thru 11x17. I estimate 300 reams of 8.5x11 through these machines. The inks hold up well under fluorescent light, no more fading than with name brand inks. I have to be careful when I refill the reservoirs, as the ink mysteriously knows when I'm wearing light colored or good clothing. If I wear old clothes on ink top-off day, I don't get a drop on anything. I really enjoy using the syringes with customers in the area, the strange looks are priceless! Each of my machines are long since out-of-warranty, so the adage that 'you'll void your warranty' doesn't apply in my case. But I've NEVER had to replace a print head on any brand printer I've used for last 25 years.However, I do have 2 plotters that I use only Name Brand certified products, and I'm replacing heads quite often! And they are Expensive! I run mostly 36" paper on these, about 200' per month. When I get a good print head, outside of warranty or contract, I'll experiment with refilling the cartridges.
