Original Panasonic KX-FAD462 Drum Unit Replacement for KX-MB2000 Series Printers - High-Quality Compatible Toner Cartridge for Office & Home Printing Needs

This is simple. I've bought non-panasonic replacement drums in the past just trying to save a few bucks. There's really no comparison to the genuine manufacturers replacement parts. To me, they just work better, print better and last longer. This is a no brainer. Delivered very quickly and in perfect condition.It is good at least I got it to work. The problem has to do with troubling putting the toner in. When putting the toner in, the toner had 2 teeth to match into the drum cartridge slot. The problem were the drum cartridge lacked an inverted teeth slot so you must jammed and really pushed the toner in which would pushed the plastic back wall curved out. Once you rotate the toner nub harder than it should (because the wall's against it) to open the holes for powder to print, the wall would snap back making it fit. A really weird design issue from Panasonic, such issue did not exist from the original drum cartridge that came with the printer.Edit 08/02/2016: photo addedThe one I received seems to be an original OEM Panasonic Replacement Cartridge however - and this being fairly ridiculous - does not include a toner cartridge. The installation guide included with the Drum specifically says to shake your "New Toner Cartridge" vertically 5 times and then install it into the drum but of course you do not get one with your $85.53 purchase. Would have been quite helpful to mention ANYWHERE in the description that you will need a "Toner Cartridge" also.Cannot attest to the quality of this as I had to put my old toner cartridge in it - in order to keep printing until I can get a new toner cartridge in. It does however fit and looks identical to the one that came with my printer years ago. By the way I did get toner with the cartridge when it was purchased new. I guess that is why I assumed this would be the same. See what you get for Assuming?It was nice to be able to get the Drum Cartridge threw Amazon as it is always a big trouble to try to get them from a store. If they cary them they usually are out of stock. Besides that we have to travel about ninety mils to a big enough city that would have a store. So yes we were glad that we were able to get it. And yes it worked.I bought this not realizing it was from a third party seller. I bought it at the end of May and by mid-August I had run out of toner. I know I have printed, at the most, 2,000 pages. It's supposed to last 6,000 pages. But of course you're not going to find that out within 30 days unless you do a heck of a lot of printing. I would like to reorder from Amazon because none of the office supplies stores carry this model. But I can't find the return policy on toner and I'm afraid the same thing is going to happen again. It looks like Amazon is the seller, but it looked like that last time, too. So beware. I will update this if I find out more about Amazon's policy on toner returns or that Amazon has made good on the claims of its seller. At the moment I'm waiting for a seller authorization to return it, but based on their policy I am not hopeful.October 30 2013 Update: No returns on toner, as expected. I won't order this again, or probably any toner from Amazon.Not always available when you need them. Order 2 so that you have an extra on hand.I had a bit of trouble installing this. Did not work at all when first installed but it was my installation error. Some toner got onto the shiny "bed" and it caused streaking on printed documents. If there is ANY toner on the bed then copies will have gaps and streaks. You have to clean it off of the part that the manual says "do not touch". There is a tiny slit on the bottom that should be in the middle. The company has made an error.
